Comment on terms of dualization between ISFp and ENTp

What I've come to realize over the course of my experience with a certain ISFp is that it is certainly not enough to simply be strong in the two functions you use the most. For an ENTp, these two functions would be Ne/Ti, and for an ISFp, these two functions would be Si/Fe.

Another function, perhaps of even more important then the first two functions, is the Demonstrative Function. I think that the Demonstrative Function is more important than the first two functions because it is a necessary function for dualization. If the Demonstrative Function is not used well enough for the other dual, then the dual pairing is rendered ineffective. Why? Because the Demonstrative Function for one dual is the weakest function for the other dual. How weak? The fact that the dual will have almost no concept at all of how that function should work!

The important thing is that the Demonstrative Function must be exaggerated, "demonstrated" -- so to speak. Fail that, and the relationship is DOA -- dead on arrival.

Apply that concept to the ENTp/ISFp dyad, specifically for the Fi function, which is the function related to relationships between two people. According to Stratievskaya, "If relations are expressed insufficiently, then Don Quixote [ENTp] simply does not believe in them!". This observation is very accurate, and I can affirm it very strongly from my own personal experience.

Follow the train of thought here:

1) If the ISFp doesn't use the Demonstrative Function well enough to convince the ENTp of a good relationship....

2) Then the ENTp will not believe that there is a good relationship.....

3) Leading the ENTp to be extremely paranoid, have irrational misconceptions, and "test" the relationship by "breaking" it to see if there's anything actually there....

4) At which point, the ISFp can either demonstrate more, or completely cut off the relationship,

5) But at that exact point, the ISFp is just as likely to retaliate than she is to affirm.

====> a broken relationship.

:'(

This has been the story of my life for the past year. I hope there are going to be people out there who will take this lesson to heart, or else there's going to be a lot of pain.

  1. Dear lord but this is good, useful stuff. It's ridiculous that nobody's commented upon it before. I find this very enlightening, and I research this stuff a lot.

  2. Isn't that such demonstrative function display will scare the dual off? Or discourage? Still, it's the kind of information that they dislike. Please, somebody reply.
