My personal thoughts on so-called "Duality Relationships"

I've definitely talked about this before in other blog posts, and I might've even written up a blog post completely about it, but it's been on my mind so much and it's just crystallized into some really clear thoughts -- or, at least, what I consider to be clear thoughts.

The thing is, Duality Relationships aren't easy. They're not perfect. There's going to be hardships. There's going to be tough times. There's even going to be abandonment and rejection from one another.

They're just like any relationship between two human beings, actually.

As far as relationships go, Duality Relationships are actually quite normal. People in a dual relationship go through the exact same troubles, the exact same hardships. To list a few that come to mind -- jealousy, pre-occupation with hobbies or friends, rejection, fear of rejection.

I think there's certainly one characteristic in which Duality Relationships stand out from other relationships -- in the end, each person wants exactly what the other person can give them. And for that reason, Duality couples end up having insanely deep feelings for each other despite all the hardships.

ENTps (or me, at least) want the passion and child-like innocence for life that ISFps have. ISFps admire ENTps for their crazy imagination and pursuit of all things interesting.

So yes, there's going to be hard times. There's going to be rejection even. But in the end, it's so worth it.

This post is why I personally love this Steve Jobs' quote so much.
